Senator Wiener adjourned Senate Session in honor of the late Gilbert Baker, activist and leader who created the Rainbow Flag in 1978, which became the international symbol for the LGBT community.

Senator Wiener joined Senator Mike McGuire (D-Healdsburg) at a press conference prior to the first committee hearing for SB 149 -- the Presidential Tax Transparency & Accountability Act -- which they are joint authoring. The bill requires the release of 5 years of tax returns in order for a presidential candidate to appear on the California primary ballot.
