Senator Wiener on Announcement that California is Suing the Environmental Protection Agency

Sacramento –  Today Senator Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco) released the following statement after Governor Jerry Brown and Attorney General Xavier Becerra announced they will be leading an 18-state coalition that is suing the United State Environmental Protection Agency to preserve the nation’s single vehicle emission standard that the Trump Administration is revoking:

“California is a national leader in reducing auto emissions and lowering greenhouse gas emissions. We need move forward even more aggressively, not backward. What the Trump administration is proposing is disastrous for our planet and shows a total lack of understanding about how we fight climate change. I want to thank Governor Brown and Attorney General Becerra for standing up for California and for our environment.”
