Senator Wiener's Statement on International Transgender Day of Remembrance

San Francisco— Today, Senator Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco) issued the following statement on International Transgender Day of Remembrance:

 “Our transgender brothers and sisters face alarming rates of violence. The murder rate of trans women of color is off the charts, and trans kids are taking their own lives. As our President tries to erase trans people, let’s remember those who have perished and recommit to ending anti-trans violence and stigma.”
