Senator Wiener Announces Agenda for Tomorrow’s Select Committee Hearing on Monkeypox

SACRAMENTO - Senator Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco), Chair of the Senate Select Committee on Monkeypox, announced today the agenda for the oversight hearing.

The hearing will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, August 9 at 1:30 pm in room 2100 at 1021 O Street in Sacramento (the Swing Space). Press are allowed to attend in person, but space is limited. The hearing will also stream here. To provide comment during the hearing, members of the public can call in at 877-226-8163, access code 7362833. Public comment will occur after all panelists testify. 

“Monkeypox is a public health emergency, and we must do everything in our power to expand access to vaccination, testing, treatment, and information,” said Senator Wiener. “We need to listen to those who have contracted Monkeypox, healthcare providers, public health officials, and advocates on the ground. Working together, we can protect our community’s health.”
