SACRAMENTO – The Legislature passed Senator Scott Wiener’s (D-San Francisco) Senate Bill 961. The bill will help reduce traffic deaths by requiring speed warning technology — called intelligent speed assistance — in all new cars manufactured or sold in California beginning with 2030 model year vehicles.

Senator Wiener’s First-In-Nation Bill to Require Cars To Warn Speeding Drivers Heads to the Governor
SACRAMENTO – The Legislature passed Senator Scott Wiener’s (D-San Francisco) Senate Bill 1037, which is sponsored by Attorney General Rob Bonta. The bill strengthens the Attorney General’s ability to enforce state housing law with fines against cities that commit egregious violations of the law.
SACRAMENTO – The Legislature passed Senator Scott Wiener’s (D-San Francisco) Senate Bills 957 and 988. SB 937 bill provides flexibility for builders amid challenging market conditions. It passed the Assembly 63-1 and the Senate 30-1, and now heads to the Governor. SB 988 provides basic protections for freelance workers, who are too often denied payment for their services.
